Your directory listing gets you found. The shop plan lets neighbors buy from you on the spot: products, cart, and secure checkout on the same link your customers already have. It's free until November 1. Your card is held by Stripe, and you can cancel any time before then and pay nothing at all.
From your dashboard, hit Upgrade to a full shop (it's also under Billing), pick monthly or yearly, and add your card through Stripe's secure checkout. We never see or store the number. You land back in your dashboard upgraded, with a guided setup ready to go.
Everything lives on one board under My Shop, with a progress bar and a Required to Open checklist: Basics, Branding, Contact & Socials, Photos of Your Work, Payments & Tax, Delivery Options, Products, and your Store Template. If your directory listing is finished, the first four are already checked. You can do the rest in any order, in as many sittings as you like.
Answer the sales tax question first: if you charge it, enter your combined state and local rate and it's added at checkout automatically. You collect and remit it. Then switch on the ways you want to be paid: Venmo (your @handle), Cash App (your $cashtag), PayPal, plus Cash and Check for local orders. For card payments (including Google Pay and Apple Pay), connect your Square or Stripe account. Every payment goes straight to your own accounts. LocaliBuy never holds your money, and you keep 100% of every sale. You need at least one payment method and the tax question answered before you can open.
Pickup: shoppers see a general area like "Near Downtown"; your full address and pickup instructions go only to people who actually order. Local delivery: set your own radius, fee, and a free-over amount. Shipping: a flat rate with an optional free-over amount, and it needs a connected Square account since shipped orders are paid by card.
Add products right from the board: name, price, and a photo gets one listed, with a Live on my site toggle so you can save drafts until you're ready. Details like categories, stock tracking, options, deals, and personalization are all optional and can wait. On your phone, Quick Add does the same job in seconds.
Pick a Store Template: every template is a complete site, and your photos, products, and story drop into whichever look you choose. Change it any time, nothing is lost. Then make each section yours: your hero, your story, reviews, a newsletter signup, and more, ending with a Final Look read-through of the whole page.
Your shop has three visibility states: Hidden, Directory listing, and My shop. When every required step is done, the board tells you, and flipping the switch to My shop puts your store live at your localibuy.com link, with a copy button and a QR code ready for your booth. Switch back any time; nothing is ever deleted.
