This Privacy Policy explains what information LocaliBuy collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using LocaliBuy you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information you provide when you sign up - such as your name and email address.
• Shop information makers add - shop name, description, photos, categories, contact details, and ZIP code.
• Order information for makers who take orders, so they can fulfill them.
• Usage data - basic analytics such as page visits, used to operate and improve the Service.
• Approximate location - a ZIP or city you enter, or an approximate location derived from your device or IP address, used only to show makers near you.
• Cookies - required cookies that keep you signed in.

How we use information

To provide and operate the Service, connect shoppers with nearby makers, process maker subscriptions, communicate with you, keep the Service secure, and comply with the law. We do not sell your personal information.

Payments

LocaliBuy never collects or stores shoppers’ payment details. Purchases are made directly with the maker through the payment methods they offer. Maker subscription billing is handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.

Service providers

We share limited information with providers that help us run LocaliBuy, including:

• Supabase - database, authentication, and file storage;
• Stripe - maker subscription billing;
• Vercel - website hosting;
• OpenStreetMap / CARTO - map tiles used to display locations.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data.

Your choices

You can review and update your account information at any time, and you can request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us. Sharing your location is optional - you can always search by ZIP or city instead.

Children

LocaliBuy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above when we do.
